Nose in charcoal with just a few strokes, the shape is the main
objective
in drawing anything so look at the overhaul shape of the nose and draw
it in.

I use a scrap of paper
and rub some charcoal on it and then pick this up with my finger and use
it to shape the middle tones of the nose.

More form is added by using my little finger to shape the form,
notice the front plane of the nose that there is tone going across it.

A putty rubber is used to lift out reflected lights just above both
nostrils and notice how just doing that the nose looks more three
dimensional.

I could have left
white paper for the highlight at the end of the nose but I preferred to
use a white pastel.

The finished nose after more modelling has been done.
